I had surgery to remove a bone chip in the joint of my big toe 5 weeks ago. The doctor used dissolvable stitches but they don't seem to be dissolving. I went for a check up last week but since then I have developed small red bumps at the site of 2 of the stitches. The doctor did tell me to remove the stitches with tweezers as they dissolved but I have only been able to remove one, the rest are still really stuck so I assume they are not dissolving. Any ideas on what I should do and what these bumps are?
