After several attempts I seem to have managed to quit smoking for good. I was never a heavy smoker - averaged about 4 a day. After previous attempts everything was normal, but this time round the first time-of-the-month was normal, but the second cycle I had extremely severe cramps - worse than I've had in years, but very little bleeding.

I'm in my mid-thirties & have always been regular. The only time I was ever late previously was when under severe stress and there was no cramps or bleeding at all, I was just late. This time the cramping was extreme, but I took no more in the way of drugs than I normally do.
Went to doctor for all kinds of tests & a week later there's no news (they only call when there is something). I seriously doubt that I'm pregnant (this was one of the blood tests done, and I just don't 'feel' pregnant) and there's been no evidence of miscarriage. The only change in my life has been that one factor - quitting smoking - is it possible to just 'miss' a time of the month due to that? Or what else could be the likely cause?
