Hello fellow health freaks! I have heard that many soy based products are full of isoflavones, which are very healthy. I have just bought shoyu and it looks interesting. Haven't opened the bottle yet, though. So please tell me, does shoyu also contain a lot of isoflavones? Thanks for reading!

No, shoyu does not contain as much isoflavones as some other products, like tofu. In fact there are hardly any isoflavones in shoyu. Besides that, it is also very high in salts, so shoyu is not the healthiest soy product on the market. It is still great for cooking though. I also love it in combination with tofu!
