I've been having this problem for a year now. I am currently battling Stage III Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I am unsure as to whether my cancer is the cause of this. I've only seen one other post on the entire internet that has a similar situation to mine - Hodgkin's Lymphoma with scrotal skin problems. My scrotum is dry and leathery. Scratching easily results in tears in the skin which would then bleed upon further insult. My perineum is also affected. The open sores sting when they come into contact with water or cold air. These sores would ooze a clear fluid, somewhat sticky, and the fluid will dry and form a crust over the affected area. The crust would flake off in 2-3 days. My issue is with the itch, and how easily the skin breaks open. It used to itch before, but only in the last two months I experienced skin tears and oozing. I have used a very potent steroid cream for 48 hours. I stopped the cream after reading about potential skin atrophy. Is the skin tears a symptom of skin atrophy? Or can a fungal/yeast infection also cause skin tears? My oncologist have prescribed Diflucan and I've had it for a week. The symptoms barely improved.
