I obsessively eat ice from morning til night - I crave it for a snack or dessert (weird, I know). About the same time I started eating so much ice, my hair started thinning and breaking off. I've lost several inches of length in my hair, and it's thinned dramatically - is this a coincidence?

I don't know about your hair loss, but the ice is anemia. I did the exact same thing when I was very anemic, and I had some hair loss. Try some iron pills

Eating ice doesn't CAUSE hair loss. Craving ice is a symptom of anemia..I know for a fact because I went through that. Hair loss is another symptom of anemia.
