Hello! My boyfriend has diabetes, but he only eats lunch and dinner. He told me that it is ok. Also, he told me that he needs to pass breakfast because that helps him to loose weight (he is a little bit overweight). I am afraid that his behavior is not healthy, but I want to check this with you first, and if I am right, I want to talk with him about this. Thanks!

Hello! He must not pass his breakfast. It is not healthy for completely health people, not to mention people with some illness as diabetes is. He must take three meals daily and a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. If he has overweight problem, he must exercise, not pass meals. I hope that you will convince him to follow healthy diet as it is prescribed, because that is good for him.

Despite age of themsg I figured it was worth adding to.
He has it exactly backward.
I too was overweight, but breakfast does many things for you.
It jumpstarts the metobolism....it also gets the body going and stared for the day...and it & lunch should be the larger of the meals.
He should switch to having a very very lite (maybe even soup) for dinner.
In fact he would likley lose more weight, esepcially if he exercises in additon to eating breakfast.
Also, eating breakfast will help him get whats needed to help burn off the weight, and is often the only true meal needed if one must skip meals it should never be breakfast.
I should know I have lost 100pds and have even corrected a doctor or two on the diet facts.
However, each person is different, in that what me & my wife both do is slightly different....mostly because she has knew problems and cant do the 2-6 miles a day I might try to do. and also cant do a huge amt of housework all at once.. Ie; I at times will do in one day what she does in a month, and Im not too far off from not beign able to keep that up.
