I currently have elephantitis in the genitals. Although it's being treated I am struggling to ride my bike due to its growing conditions. Should I take even more time off work?

Hi, I know generally what elephantitis is. I know your looking for help, but could you explain a little about it. Are you to the point where it is very obvious when you are dressed? I would say if you are uncomfortable, then you should stay off. I guees it also has financial considerations too, do you have insurance or does your employer have paid medical leave. I had a hydroseal when I was younger. They did surgery at the same time as a hernia repair. It is where you form a layer of liquid around your testicle(s). It was only the left one, but it was half again as big the right and getting larger. They ask you if you had surgery any time they take a medical History. Usually, they kind of look at me strange, most just write it down, some ask and I have to explain it. I am having a problem now, and my Dr. had never heard of it. Even my uroligist never used the medical term, just said it may get better , may not. I feel still relatively young,53, am single, so if I meet some one, I am going to have to give this explaination before hand,because it effects sex. Can't imagine what you are going through, just would like to learn a little more about the condition. It really make me mad when the Dr. thinks it's no big deal, guess it would be different if the problem was His.
