This is terrible I know! I HATE IT! But get a aluminum water bottle or one that you can't see through and whenever you spit, it will look like you are drinking so it's not as bad! I know this is terrible but be encouraged it will soon be over. *Signed* My first and last kid! UGH!

I am happy to see that I am not alone in this issue, however, this spitting thing SUCKS! I am pregnant with my 3rd child as well and have only had the spitting with my 2nd and now my 3rd. Like others who have commented the spitting is more of and issue then nausea and vomiiting this time around. I get tired of spitting so I just hold the saliva in my mouth for a while untill I need to talk or it get fulls. Not a good solution because I am sure my breath smell like ground. The fruit and veggie works, especially if they are cold and crisp. As long as I am eating or drinking I am fine. What I've noticed from having this issue is although it is a horrible feeling to be sickly during pregnancy you don't gain as much weight as others and the baby's are still very healthy. Hang in there ladies! Thank you all for sharing your stories and make this thing a little more normal for me.

Ladies you are not alone. I have been spitting in a water bottle that I sometimes wrap paper around with tape to conceal the contents. Some say it goes away by the 5th month but don't count on it. I am currently 37 weeks (will be 38 in two days) and I am still spitting. I can fill a water bottle easily within 2 days. It is horrible. This is my second pregnancy and I did not have this with my first. Good luck ladies and hopefully you will not spit as long as me. I just hope it goes away before I leave the hospital.

Hi ladies. I'm 8 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy and the excess saliva is 10 times worse this time around. It didn't last very long the first time so here's hoping. I see my midwife in 2 days so hopefully she may have some tips, I'll try to remember to call back in here if there's anything useful. No idea what I will do about work though, I've been off with hyper sickness which seems to be settling but can't be talking to the public whilst foaming att he mouth :// Hang in there ladies :)

Hello,  I'm currently 37 weeks and 2 days and has been spitting since I was 8 weeks pregnant. I carrying a girl. I also was a spitter with my second child which was a girl. I didn't spit with my first which was a boy. But I find chewing gum helps me.  The only thing that helped me was  delivery.  So, I assuming I will be spitting until I deliver this LO in 2 more weeks.

Im with you all ladies, this is my third and I'm going through it again! I had it for the first two and it is absolute hell! With my other two, it lasted until I gave birth. I found chewing gum helped with the first two. I have tried it with this one and it just seems to build up more. Swallowing is not an option, that just makes me vomit, so I'm doing the same as all you ladies spitting into cups, bottles, tissues, whatever I can find! Good luck ladies and please let me know if you find a miracle cure??
