I feel like this should not even be an issue but it has me so stressed out. I am 23 weeks pregnant and I am concerned that maybe there could be a chance that my husband is not the father of my baby.  I am due May 24, 2012 and I had sex with my ex I believe Aug 1-11,2011 maybe even before. I know 100% it was not after the 11th. I was currently on both control but we did not use a condom. I regret it miserable but me and my husband were having major issues. We decided to stay together and I had my period Aug 17or18 to 21st.  After my surgar pills that week of my period, my husband and I decided for me not to take birth control any longer.  I found out I was pregnant the end of September.  The doctor advised I would have been ovulating from Aug 29- Sept 2. Me and my husband had sex a couple times in those days as well as before.  Is there any chance that my ex could be the father?  Please Help, any advice is appreciated.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Hi Steph,

If you had sex with your ex BEFORE a NORMAL period then it is unlikely he is the father.  The odds of it being your husband are VERY good especially having sex while you ovulated.

I'm sure it is your husband's baby.  The only positive way to know would be DNA but I don't see the need.

That's so crazy we have the same exact period day & due date. My ex & I were together August 23 & 28th. Then I made a poor drunk choice to half hook up with an old fling September 3. (by half I mean we're in the middle of IT & I was thinking what am I doing?! & ended that way before any ejaculation came) So my question is can you get pregnant off of pre-cum?

Hi Bree,

If your period started about August 17, then either could be the father.

You normally ovulate between days 11-16 of your cycle, sperm can live 5 days.

August 23, day 6.
August 28, day 11,
September 3, day 16.

Precum may contain sperm, especially if he recently ejaculated.

A DNA test may be required. Good luck.
