Yep, like many here I was chopping and deseeding many hot peppers grown fresh in our garden. First noticed the burning when taking a shower this a.m. Both hands burning but water not overly hot. Burn hands still burning. Noticed last night a little numbness in mouth. I pretty much knew that was from these hot banana peppers we fried with green peppers and tomatoes. All from garden . Yum! Wearing gloves next time.

I was cutting up habaneros right on my palm about an hour ago and now my fingertips on both hands feel like their under an electric blanket. I never knew capsacin oils could penetrate your skin and burn for so long so I was getting worried. Googling "fingers feel like they're on fire" took me to articles on neuropathy! A couple more search results down and I find this thread and read alot of you guys had been handling peppers lol!

Genius!! I was freaking out last night and this morning and even reading through these.. well to my surprise I cut a hole lot of jalapeños last night holding with my left and chopping with my right hence it only being my left hand! You have Mande my day lol

I haven't it happen for a while then yesterday it started up again. Any help I hope its got nothing to do with the nervous system. I'm very concerned no one else in my family has complained about it. I have 2 younger children that still need a lot of attention. Has anyone been diagnosed as yet
