Hi, people. I suffer from angina pectoris. I know that my coronary arteries are narrowed in a significant percentage, so the doctor recommends me CABG. I would like to know whether fixing narrowed arteries is possible with CABG. What do you know about this? Thanks for all your replies. I appreciate it.

Hi, there. CABG means coronary artery bypass graft. A piece of vein is used as a graft. With this graft a bypass around narrowed or blocked coronary artery is made. In that way blood reaches heart muscle. It has a new pathway. So, in a way, it fixes narrowed arteries, but not literary. Fixing narrowed arteries are more in the domain of angioplasty. You can ask your doctor about this. I hope I’ve helped a little. Bye!
