makes perfect sense but what would the steriods do in this case? make the skin more elastic or reduce any inflamation?

the steroid is mainly to reduce inflammation and in doing so it will allow the patient to apply more traction without pain or discomfort.

Well um.. Today I tried pulling the foreskin down hard and the foreskin just tore off the glans. The adhesion is now gone but it is swollen a little and red.

thats ok..... its just irritated from pulling on it and removing the adhesion. it should go down in a day or two... im glad you were able to remove the adhesion.

It's no longer swollen but the spot where the skin was attached to the glands is blood red and the skin that was attached is also VERY red. I also noticed there was some kind of liquid white stuff all over my glands which I think is puss but I'm not sure

Congratulations!! the clear liquid is plasma. it is completely normal.. don't let the area dry out or it could crack and bleed. also keep some sort of ointment applied to the glans or you could re-adhere and then you'll need a little snip..

I agree with Dr.D,

the liquid is plasma from your damaged cells as well as extracellular fluid which is leaking out because of the damaged skin. it's the same thing as the liquid (not blood) that appears when you get a rug burn or abrassion.

you'll be fine :-)

I had an issue like this when I was a kid, except it was the entire foreskin. Had to have an operation to get it taken care of. My son may have the same issue, so checking online. Go to the doctor kid, don't mess with it yourself.
