What was the treatment for ulcer? Fundic gland polyps are basically - as the gastroscopy finding said - benign growths of fungi that are normally present in the stomach, but because of the gastritis and the treatment your mother had to take for the ulcer which most likely was some form of proton pump inhibitors medications that are the main treatment for hyper-acidity and ulcers, they become more and more apparent and form little clusters. There is no established link between these kind of polyps and cancers because they are basically side effect of gastritis and the treatment for gastritis.
