Gagging feeling in throat

Hi I'm a 14 year old female. I'm very healthy and slim. Three weeks ago for four days my throat was bothering me very much. I had a gagging feeling in my throat and i would have this feeling all day. Taking a sip of a drink or having a mint or gum in my mouth seemed to help, but not completely. Once i was all calm and about to fall asleep i felt a little better and I would wake up feeling fine, then having the feeling in my throat again just a few seconds after I awoke. I then went back to normal thinking it was just some type of virus. Exactly a week ago i woke feeling the same way i did few weeks before. I then started to get concerned. I looked up symptoms of gerd and it said a major symptom is heartburn. I never had any heartburn until tonight. I had this feeling in my esophogus like i swallowed something very large and it was stuck in my throat. The feeling lasted about 10 minutes. I took a tum and i felt better, but my throat still has the weird feeling like im gagging and it currently feels soar and like i have a lump in my throat. I really would just like to know what the chances are that it's gerd, or if there are any home remedies I could use to make this go away. Just to note i dont have any allergies but do suffer from anxiety. Also, could this be anything other than gerd? I appreciate informative information or similar symptoms.
