I am wondering if anyone has had luck with supplements on order to prevent reoccurrences of gallstones after gallbladder removal.  I had my gallbladder removed a year ago and the. Six weeks ago I ended up back in the ER with another attack.  Turns out there was a small stump of my gallbladder that remained and there was a gallstone that was blocking my cystic duct.  After another surgery I thought I would be done with this but last week wenr back into the hospital where they found another stone in my bile duct.  Doctors now say that I may just be susceptible to developing stones, but I'm not satisfied with the answer.  I have heard about bile salts and other supplements but don't know if they would increase or decrease my chances of developing more stones.
