Growth near the tonsils, hard to swallow and very uncomfortable.

Hello, I may be overreacting but I may not be, I am going to the doctor about this on Wednesday but I have aquired this fleshy growth type lump near my tonsils/on them, I'm not too sure. I am very worried about this, as I can't seem to find information on it anywhere and it's becoming increasingly uncomfortable. I find it hard to swallow and gag alot when trying to. There is what seems to be a white dot on it, and a tiny hole on the bottom from what I can see. I have attatched a picture to give you a better look at it. If anyone has any input before wednesday, hopefully to put my mind at rest, it will be very welcomed. Thankyou.
