I am 20 years old and have been with my current boyfriend for almost three years having intercourse for almost two, with no problems. September 2006 we started having problems when it came to intercourse, it began to hurt very badly, my boyfriend could hardly enter me. Do to this, a slight pain during urination, and an increase in discharge I decided to go see my gyno. After a thorough examination and all tests came back negative she said that nothing was wrong that I was possibly just tightening up for one reason or another. With this, I attempted to try to relax although I believe I am, we tried lubricants, extra foreplay and nothing seems to help. I am on birth control and do not know if this has something to do with it or not, my doctor said that the pill may have heightened my discharge. Due to the pain and the fustration we have had intercourse very few times. I am worried that this is not normal, and am at a lost of what to do, any ideas?

I just went to the gyno for the first time with the same problem. (It's a lower income clinic, by the way) and all they told me was that I'm really small. My husband isn't a big guy though so I think there may be other problems. As soon as I can afford it, I'm going to a real clinic.

I started having that problem right around menopause. It got so I would clench my fists and teeth it felt like I was being ripped apart. Tests were normal. But the problem was that my estrogen levels were low and this makes your vagina atropjy. Get some natural estrogen cream from your gyno it does the trick. Also may want to check testosterone levels which can make you lose your sex drive if they are to low. I get mine from a compound pharmacy
Birth control pills sometimes make it worse for some women. It just messes up your hormones and then you get the dried out thing. I did use lubricants but the best thing was the estrogen cream
