If you had a period that was when expected, then a week earlier would not have been likely to have been a fertile time.
You say "I'm pretty irregular" and then say "Usually I'm a couple days late". I assume you mean later than the typical 28 days, meaning your cycle is usually 28-30 days. If you know your period start-dates for this year so far, then I could make an assessment from them.
Sometimes periods do get missed, even with those who are regular. Sometimes stress can delay a period. But if 8 June is the only day you have had sexual activity since your May period, then a test taken now should be reliable.
Remember that any sexual activity that gets sperm into your vagina at a fertile time could lead to pregnancy.

You would not be pregnant yet. That process takes several days.
5 days after the start of your period is not likely to be a fertile time if you have a regular typical 28-day cycle. However, you have not given your period start history for this year.
So getting pregnant doesn't seem likely, but not impossible from the little you have said.

Hi, Jane.
I was trying to establish the extent of your 'regularity' as months are of differing lengths (Jan has 31 days; Feb, 28). The dates of your 2017 period starts would have helped. [20 June to 20 July = 30 days, whereas 20 May to 20 June = 31 days.] You did say 14 July was 8 days before your period, but 14th is only 6 days before 20th!
However, if your cycles are always between 28 and 31 days, then 25 July would not likely have been a fertile day.

I assume by "I took a pill 5 hours after ..." you mean you took an EC pill. Which one? The likelihood is that 25 July was not a fertile time if it were just a week before your period was due. Having taken an EC pill, your withdrawal bleeding could occur within the next few days. What are the dates your periods started this year so far?

Hi Bee
Diane 35 is not an Emergency Contraceptive. But how many pills did you take, and when (and why)?
Nevertheless, the pills are hormonal, and depending on how many you have taken, may well affect your cycle.
The likelihood is, however, that 25 July was not a fertile day.

Why did you take the one Diane 35?
