A week before your period is due is not a fertile time. Also missing only one pill would not have affected your protection. There is very little chance of getting pregnant

Ok but sometimes I was off with timing of the pill and I have been experiencing strange noises in my stomach last night. My boobs seem bigger and have a strange feeling that I may have ovulated. Is it too early to take a pregnancy test ? Period is due on Friday.

Yes it is too early. If your period is due Friday, wait until Saturday for a test.
1. If you have been taking a BC pill for some time, being slightly off with timing should not affect your protection.
2. Missing one day should not affect your protection.
3. It was probably not a fertile time.
4. Having taken EC pill early you would not likely get pregnant anyway.
Bear in mind that having taken EC pill your period (and perhaps subsequent periods) may not come at the expected time. They might be early, late, or missed.

Hi, around the 22nd of January my boyfriend fingered me and I am not sure as to if he had sperm on his hands or not, I was supposed to get my Period three days ago, I am late, have cramps, and am spotting, what are the chances of my being pregnant? Please help!

If your period were due 31 Jan, then 22 Feb would not likely have been a fertile day. Even due today (4th Feb), it would probably not have been a fertile day. However, you haven't said why you think your period was due on 31 Jan. What were the start dates of your last 4 periods?
The chances of getting pregnant are low, and it sounds as though your period might be starting soon.

Hello my name is Whitney and I'm 27 years old I have a daughter who's 10 years old which means I had her at the age of 17. I'm just unsure of the fact that I could possibly or soon become pregnant after having unprotected sex a week before my period and 17 days after my last period. Could this mean I could be pregnant ?

Hi Witney,

You haven't given any actual dates, but if you have a regular cycle (say 28-30 days) so that you can be reasonably sure of the date of your next period, then 7 days before then is not likely to be a fertile time.

However this cannot be guaranteed. If you ovulated later this cycle, your period would also be that much later, so there is the possibility that 7 days before your period was (mistakenly) expected was indeed a fertile day.

17 + 7 days = 24 days (a short cycle), so does that mean that you counted from the end of your period rather than the start?

I received a period which was shorter than normal and dark brown and red. I am worried it was implantation bleeding but it came when my period was due. I have taken 4 HPT and 1 blood test. They were all negative. However, I am still experiencing pregnancy symptoms. Do you think these are still side effects from the morning after pill or am i actually pregnant. It has been 24 since the incident.

If it came when your period was due, it probably is a period.
5 tests taken showing negative could well be reliable, but you haven't stated the dates you took them.
You don't say what the actual symptoms are.
It has been 24 since what incident?

Incident happened on the 13th of January. Took urine pregnancy tests - 23rd, 26th, 30th January and 3rd of February. Had a blood test 6th February which was 24 days after the incident. My symptoms include - cramping, headaches and sore breasts.

Sorry for delay in replying. I didn't see a notification of your post.
Your symptoms are likely indicating your period is coming.
The tests are likely to be reliable.
You still haven't said what the 'incident' was.

You are not very clear in what you say, and you are putting a lot of words together with no break. So a few questions and comments.

  1. "i usually get my period on the11th- 13th every month" Months vary in length, so your periods may not be as regular as you suggest. Can you give the start dates of your last 6 periods?
  2. Is it that you had a normal period start on 14th Jan which was the day you had sex?
  3. "i had sex this month a week before my period suppose to come on" What was the date?
  4. "my breast was sore the day i had sex" Which day was that?
  5. What do you mean by "he knocked my last period on"?
  6. It could be that your period will start soon.

No my period didnt start being regular until four months ago which was October of 2016. So it was then i start receiving them every month on the 11th up until now which is February 2017. Now i was on depo for a year and a half until may 2016 thats when it wore off and i sstp going to get the shot. Now 8 know they say it can be hard to get pregnant after you stop using depo... I was having sex. On january 8th of this year. Also i had sex on January 14th of this year and right after having sex on the 14th same night my period start. It was normal stayed on as the usually and went off.. I recently had sex this month of febuary a week and a half from the February 14th, which happens to be th same date of my last period. But its been one days after the 14th and. I still hqvent came on my period...my breast was tender the last time i had sex which is also the week and a half before my period was suppose to come on...so what are some of your thoughts on this ?

It is reckoned that, on average, it takes about 9 months to get pregnant after stopping depo. It is now about that time since May 2016.

If your periods were 11Oct, 11Nov, 11Dec then 14Jan, the last cycle was 34 days. 14Jan + 34 days = 17Feb (tomorrow). So maybe your period will arrive today or tomorrow.

"I recently had sex this month of febuary a week and a half from the February 14th" So what was the exact date? 4Feb?
