Well im 18 and im starting to notice thinning of hair. I wake up and theirs loads of hair on my pillow and my hair seems to be thin on whatever side i lay on. Is their anything i can do to maintain or stop this hairloss. Im not sure if its inherited but cud be. Ive also been stressed out about uni and health concerns and have a poor diet. I also have an itchy scalp anything people have used that they wud recommend? Any chnages i can make or am i doomed?

Hi! I started losing my hair when I was 25. I had some problems at the time. I have just lost a very good job and was under a lot of stress. Before that, I was working hard and didn’t pay much attention to what I was eating, which turned out to be important factors in hair preservation.

Later I learned that certain vitamins and also proteins (hair is a protein) are needed in order to maintain good health of your hair.

So, loss of hair can be contributed to bad nutrition and excessive stress, so try to cut down on that Uni-stress. I know it sounds bizarre but it is possible.
Are you sure that what you have noticed is not just a regular hair loss. I don’t know if you’re aware but we shed between 50-100 hairs a day.

Are you by any chance taking any medications? Some of the drugs can have that kind of effect!
