i have been sufferring from halitosis for more than 10 years...i had consulted dentist, ENT specialist, physician, and gastroenterolgist specialist....but nothing worked....i am having the symptoms of IBS like stool changes, bloating, cramping, constipation/diarhea etc....

can IBS alone or gastrointestinal problems cause such strong breath odor?...

The GI tract and the mouth are very closely tied together. If you have a bacteria problem in your stomach it could very well be from the GI problem. Have you tried probiotics? Things such as yogurt are very good for setting bacteria back to its normal levels. Also do you have a white tongue sometimes? If so try a vodka citrus mix( pineapple,cranberry, and orange seem to work great), this will burn some what but swish it around in your mouth and it should help.
