Hi All,

I too would like share my positive insight on Duromine.

I am 26yrs Muslim man, 171cm and was 80kgs
I started Duromine 1 week back
Now I am 78kgs

Duromine supressess your appetite
It's reaction to me is the same as fasting
Except during Ramadan we muslims tend to eat more when we break our fast (after 7pm).

I feel more aware of my surroundings.
Energetic and confident

Just be reposible; take a good milky breakfast and drink a lot of water.
Duromine helped me more because I never use to drink enough water....lolz

Hi to all

I see there a few peole that is very sceptical about Duromine. I started with Duromine today and are realy feeling great. A family member who was overweight since I know him lost so much I hardly recognised him and he was also very happy. Personally I think that taking it gives you a lot of energy, but you also have to take supplements, because they way I feel today I wouldn't bother to eat, but that will be the wrong choice. This family memeber who used it said that the docter said he must also use supplements, because you have a lot of energy but that not counts for all you vitamins and minirals. I know I will have a great result.

I am currently in my 3rd week of a 1 month prescription. Wow its been up and down. for the first week i was ok like everyone had energy it was somewhat euphoric then a down turn in the second week. Depression, fatigue and a feeling of been un-satisfied with everything.
So i went off them for about 4 days and then started again straight away the bad moods are back. I have a constant head ache and am vague at best. I am a writer and in the last few weeks have not had the will or wisdom to do anything at all! I am also very easily agitated and am erupting over the smallest things. I have no patients with anything and feel dizzy all the time. Also my eyes feel fuzzy. I will see out the next week of my prescription but after that will be detoxing heavily. On the bright side I have lost 7 KG in 2 weeks. I was only 85 kg to start.
I read peoples experiences before taking the pills and was fairly ignorant to them. Now however i would have to agree that Duromine should be avoided, unless your family books you into a funny farm with a padded room, TV and the whole back catalogue of Seinfeld to watch for a month.

WOW-that's the best response I've ever read & very detailed!
I've been on Duromine 15mg for 6days & now weigh 2.5kgs less- I actually lost this entire weight in the first 2days of taking it & haven't lost anything since. Well, I guess 2.5kgs is still a bit too fast to lose even in a week so I don't feel too bad. I think I could be ok with losing 2kgs every week- I'm not overweight, I'm size 34 but it would be nice to be a 32 if it's possible with this drug.

Duromine is hell on earth for me, I weigh 91 and was on duromine for 2 weeks and 5 days. the first week was fine but what followed was awful.
I had jagular vein distension due to my heart pumping at a faster rate than normal. I felt my ears whistling, lost concentration and severe insomnia.Had headaches and terrible terrible vertigo. I felt mu left side go numb and i would twitch uncontrolably. My thyroid and nek area was hot, I felt like my neck was gonna fall off my head. the first week was awesome but its not worth it.........at least not for me. It directly affected my central nervous system and i almost got psychotic. I desperately want to lose weight but not the duromine way.

I have used Duromine twice.
I did get some mild side effects like dry mouth and shaky hands, and was a little bit restless.
But i found the most important thing for long term weight loss and to minimize the side effects is to keep drinking lots of water and to keep eating, even if you aren't hungry. The worst thing you could do is to stop eating and mess up your metabolism, just don't eat as much as you normally would and eat healthier but regularly, that's the whole point of the pill.
I found that sometimes i just felt weak and my muscles would ache, but as soon as i got up and actually started doing things, i felt better. This made exercise much easier.

I think that as long as you treat Duromine as an aid to change your bad habits to healthy ones, it will work, but you cant really use it as a magic weight loss pill, cos all the weight will come back. Like with anything, you get out, what you put in.

Duromine have many side effects that have occurred in people taking drugs. It can cause sudden weight loss and quick. Despite a weight loss medication, weight loss should be gradual and not abrupt and fast. Dose Duromine have serious consequences, including death. Symptoms include multiple doses Duromine excess energy, tremors, increased breathing rate, disorientation and panic, fatigue, depression, hypertension.

I understand that everyone's experiences are different so I thought I should share my positive one.

I began taking Duromine 30mg 8 weeks ago due to some abnormal liver function results (caused by being overweight). It was my last desperate attempt to shed those pesky post-pregnancy pounds and I am getting married in 8 weeks (want to look as fantastic as possible).

I am a 22-year old stay at home mother to a 10 month old baby girl. I weighed 94kg and am 169cm tall and after 30 days of tablets, I weighed 79kg. I experienced ZERO negative side effects. I had extra energy, was sleeping like a baby at night time and as the kilos came off, I felt fantastic.

After finishing my course, I gave myself a 4 week break and maintained my weight by simply exercising at least 3 times a week (i would walk or do some sit-ups, nothing too hardcore). I still indulged here and there as human beings do, but by following the national standard of the food pyramid intake and a bit of exercise, I kept the weight off.

I went back to the doctor last week for a check-up. My blood pressure was fine and my heart sounded great. I had some follow-up blood tests and my liver function is no longer abnormal, it is completely healthy. Today I started next lot of Duromine 30mg as I would like to get to 68kg and then I will fend for myself after this course.

I followed the prescription carefully and have the following useful tips:

*Set your alarm for 6am and have Tony Ferguson/Celebrity Slim or whatever weight loss shake system you have in your country. These are milky (to line your stomach) and bulky (make you feel very full). Take the tablet on top of the shake. If you wish to go back to bed until the pill kicks in, by all means go for it. I have a young child and partner who does not begin work until 8am so I would get dressed and go for a brisk walk around my block for 45 minutes. While my heart rate was still pumping when I got home, I would lay down and do some sit-ups (my problem area is my stomach) and go for a shower. If my daughter woke in the time I was gone, my partner would tend to her as he is excited for me to lose weight and understands I need his help every now and then to do so. I'd then have a shower and be ready for the day. Taking the pill early in the morning helps you get to sleep that night, having breakfast kicks starts your metabolism for the day (rather than taking the pill on an empty stomach and not eating all day, which makes you go into starvation mode and the weight you lose comes back), getting a days worth of exercise out of the way in the morning and having a shower and being dressed by 7:30 in the morning will make you feel refreshed and ready for the day.
*Drink lots of water. Keep a 750mL bottle of water with you at all times. I find the 1.5L gets bulky and goes to room temp too fast making it less enjoyable. I credit this as to why I never experienced a dry mouth.
*You will find that when you begin to get hungry, you aren't as "starving" as usual. This gives you time and clarity to prepare something healthy for yourself rather than rushing to the nearest fast food outlet (which was my weakness, i wouldnt have breakfast and would get that starving that I would just go to the drive-thru for a quick fix rather than make a salad or a healthy sandwich).
*I got rid of any food in my pantry (sweets etc) that I didn't "need" and would hinder my weight loss. Removing temptation was a huge benefit, it forces you (once again) to have something healthy.
*I set goals for myself, not weight goals, reward goals. If I exercised each day and ate well, I would reward myself once a week or fortnight to a night out to a restaurant with my partner or friends. Most menus have healthy options too.

I strongly believe that most negative side effects are the result of not following the correct procedures with the Duromine. Those people who don't eat whilst on it need to realise that they are in fact starving their bodies. You're body cannot function without steady food and water intake so of course if you dont eat all day, you're body is going to tell you it does not like it as you are basically killing it.

In saying so, I do understand that Duromine is not for everyone. So to anyone who followed the procedures perfectly and it still had negative side effects, please do not take offence. Everyone is different, I just hope my thoughts help the silly ones who dont follow the right steps and whinge that it didn't work or made them feel like hell.

Bottom line, you don't just take the pill and hope for a miracle. You still have a bit of work to do. If fat were that easy to lose, no one in the world would be overweight.

I will let you know when I get to 68kg!

There is a LOT of bad things about this drug! especially HERE! OH MY GOSH!
OK, I'm gonna tell it like it is.
I had ALWAYS been the fat girl with the GREAT personality. I've tried just about every ''diet'' known to man i could afford, I've worked my butt off and gotten nowhere at the gym many times before, i have not been able to loose the weight and or keep it off, EVER!

I began my journey at 122kgs at the end of June 2010. The doctor first prescribed "reductil" for me which i took up until it was taken off the Australian Market in October - at that time i weighed 110kgs. When i began, I decided this was it, my last real shot before i kill myself through being "morbidly obese" - If this didn't work, i was going to have to cheat myself and save for Lapband surgery. I wanted to very much do this on my own!. I've been in constant appointment with my GP, and have been on Duromine from November (2010) - It's now March 1, 2011. I weigh 94.8kgs as of my last doctor appointment. (that's a 28kg total loss for those not wanting to sit down and work out the maths)

Since i began taking the Duromine I've experienced a MASSIVE increase in my energy - I'm now working out on average 3 days a week - a two hour session at the Gym (entails a 1hour cardio workout, followed by a class - ie - Zumba/balance/yoga/boxing) - prior to Duromine i was only an 45mins to an hour 3-4 days a week. My food intake has fantastically decreased from what it used to be! I lived a fairly normal healthy lifestyle before starting either of the weight loss drugs I've mentioned. My issue was portion sizing, snacking, sweet food cravings, A lifetime of not being able to exercise due to a medical condition from childhood blood disorder, as well as hip surgeries as a young teenager. My major problem was, other than ALL of that..... I was not a priority in my own life, and everyone elses's needs were more important than mine, or so i felt before joining the gym (the medication came LONG after that), it happens when you have a child with special needs, and other serious family medical things going on.

Yes, I have had some symptoms from the drug, they have been Insomnia, irritability - (it's not a constant thing, close friends and family haven't noticed too much of a difference), occasional constipation, and more recently some hair fall. I had been seeing my Doctor on average every week, then fortnightly, and more recently we changed to a monthly appointment. Luckily i have a fantastic rapport with my doctor, and when I've had a problem or a concern with the medication he's been of great help and support. Even some staff at the Doctor's office has seen my progress and have been inspired to do something about their own. I've never been a "role model" for anyone, for any reason. It's kinda scary and flattering at the same time. Duromine gives me the energy to get up and GO GO GO! - but it's ME that keeps my butt at the gym working my ass off - hehehehe in more ways than one!! LOL

Duromine has - and will hopefully continue to work for me. My goal weight (mine not the bmi or my doctors) is 70kgs, I'm a 33yo single mum of one, and I am 155cms tall. Duromine sadly doesn't work for everyone, and works differently for everyone too. I wish it would. If you are reading this, and it hasn't worked for you, even after all the sweat, tears and disappointment. Don't give up, keep your focus - keep your eye on the prize, so-to-speak. Sometimes all you need is a little faith in yourself, and to ditch your scales!

If you are taking Duromine as a magic bullet.. STOP RIGHT NOW - save your money! Duromine is NOT a magic diet pill that you take in the morning and continue with your day....without doing anything different....... You have to put in effort to get results.

I'm sorry if i may have offended anyone.

I thought i would share my experience with Duromine considering most of the posts on this feed are negative.

I asked my doctor for Duromine so that i could loose between 5-7 kgs. He was happy to perscribe it to me but made me aware of the side effects. Which is why i am confused as to why members on here are warning people against Duromine.

If you are having negative side effects after the first 2 days that your body cannot handle... its quite simple!! STOP TAKING IT!!

My Duromine experience was fantastic.

Along with eating the right food (when i felt like it) , drinking plenty of water and also light excersise.

My side effects are as follows for the first 2 days.

Dry mouth - solution: Keep a drink bottle on you at all times.
Awakeness - solution: take Duromine at 6am - even if you dont get up that early, set an alarm and go back to sleep.
Increase in heart beat - solution: dont drink coffee or have energy drinks, it will make it worse.

Since then i have had no other side effects, hence why Duromie effects everyone differently. So please dont be discouraged by some peoples comments. You simply need to know your body's limits.

I lost 5 kilos, happy as ever, and now i am watching what i eat, because yes, you can put the weight back on IF YOU LET YOURSELF!!!
