I've been on duromine for 8 days now. First 2 nights I was in and out of sleep, but now I sleep like a baby. I have dry mouth but it doesn't bother me as I've always been a big water drinker. I'm not skiping meals I'm just having really healthy choices. I've just been going walking everyday.
It's still early days but if it keeps making me feel normal just with out sweet cravings I can see me getting down to my goal of 68kgs.
Im 174cm and started at 83.6 today I was 79.4.

hi I just read your post regarding the use of duromine. thank you so much, I have just been prescribed it by my dr (40mg) and have been terrified by all the negativity surrounding it. Hi all readers out there.
I am male 30 years old, been on Duromine twice.
Initial weight 80kilos 165cm tall, over weight for my height so the doc prescribe me Duromine 40mg. Keep in mind there is a difference in the milligram tablets doc perscribe you.
Everyones body will react different to the strength of the Duromine. It is oviously not for everyone and a good healthy diet and excercise is the next best thing, but if you are doing the good healthy diet and excercise then Duromine will help even more.
I felt majority of the side effects such as bulging eyes(discomfort but will go away)eye drops will help, stay away from computer screens, tv's rest more by having mini naps.
Dry mouth and lip oviously intake more water than you normally do, this feels great drinking lots of water and it does help with the cravings and appetite. Keep in mind if you are taking Duromine is because you want to make a change, so drinking more water is a next big step which alot of us don't usually do often in our day to day lives.
Insomnia lack of sleep, can't sleep this is due to taking the Duromine late in the morning and would recommend to take it at 6am (its a pain yes, but it will help dramatically like the other poster who recommend it.) This will eventually wear of and you will get better sleep the more times you practise your body to get up this early to take it. Also helps if you excercise and burn some energy off by cleaning the house, ironing, making food, gym, walks, play with the puppy and spend more time with family than sit on the couch and watch tv or games, be more proactive because you want to make a difference.
Racing heart beats: Everyone will experience this, this is due to being over weight and you are moving around more and your hearts pumping more blood around and it will feel uncomfortable.( i would suggest YOGA or some sort of breathing technique to slow your breathing down which will eventually stablise your heart beat, it works i have tried).
The feeling of skin itchy or dirty feeling is due to lack of sleep, you think you have slept but you haven't, your mind is awake all night and was not sleeping that is why you think you skin is dirty like you came of speed or other kind of drugs stated on other websites. More rest, sleep early, no coffee or energy drinks, you shouldnt because you already have energy from Duromine, no coke or any caffeine base drink at all, green tea is good if you minimum caffeine intake but not really recommended.
Depression kicks in when you feel all these, bascially you have to stay positive and happy, and once you have your sleep you will feel happy with good thoughts, the depression come and goes but really depends on your will to be happy, control it, its your thoughts and body and mind, tell yourself you are a happy person and things will work out and be positive say positive things. The world loves you and you love the world and at the end of the working day or day give someone a hug smile and say i love you or its good that i know you.
Eating wise not hungry? makes you sick? want to vommit? Do not make an excuse, force yourself to eat something small, start with a carrot, cucummber, some sort of small vege's or salad, or even one banana, or a protein shake in the morning to fuel ur starving body that starved itself for 8-12 hours of sleep. Remeber losing weight is as much as fueling your bodies needs, make sure to have 6 small meals a day. Too much you would say???
Break it down: 1Protein shake on wake up with Duromine(up and go? or just milk).
Morning Tea: Carrot sticks, celery sticks, small cupcake, something that you can pick by your fingers and put it into your mouth easy with no hassels. Yes cupcake or sweets its better than starving your body which is worst.
Luch: Same thing if your not hungry but make sure you have some carbs, little bit of bread dont forget to drink water, some sort of lean protein, or just plain salad. Alot of you might disagree on carbs and cupcake but hey we don't have 2 hours to create a good breakfast or lunch right we make due to what we have that can be sufficient enough to not let our body starve.
Afternoon tea and dinner would be similar but mix it up with others, oviously no fat no sugar during the afternoon or night. If you are hungry or don't feel like anything drink milk or a protein shake, it will keep your body fuel during your sleep so your body won't store the fat while its in starvation mode.
Do the little steps and we all get their losing weight. So now i started again on Duromine this is the second time doing it properly with all those steps and its been 2 weeks and i have gone to 76.7kilo and always weight yourself in the morning with cloths of and never in the afternoon because you have been drinking alot of water and food and will change your weight oviously. I want to lose to 70 kilo's, before i start gaining alot of weight i was 58kilos.

Hi there.....hav read all you guys comments and I am one of the users of duromine with mostly positive feedback.
I started using duromine to help boost my weight loss as I had reached my plateau and after a year of working out 4 to 5 times a week, I was stuck at the same weight. I started on the 30mg. For the first two weeks, the insomnia was really bad. I would sleep or about 2 hours a night max! However, I soon realised that I felt this way on days that I missed gym or didnt train intensely. However, as soon as I started increasing the intensity of my workout, I would sleep like a baby. I know train every afternoon, after work.
I noticed an immediate increase in my energy levels from day one. With the very busy, fast paced life I have, and all the travelling I do, this was welcomed. I noticed that I was not as hungry anymore. I make it a point of drinking nothing less than 2 litres of water a day. For someone who has a very sweet tooth, I no longer crave sweet things like I used to. The only side effect that is very present, is the dry mouth. But it is not unbearable or does not alter the quality of my life.
I am not a person who can follow a diet. However, I have altered my eating habbits a bit and this has made a world of difference. I make sure I have a glass of milk within and hour of waking up and then take my pill. I have a proper breakfast and at about 10am I have either a fruit or yoghurt. I prefer to eat my big meal at lunchtime, as I usually get home from gym at 8pm and it is far too late then to have a big meal. At about 3pm I have either fruit or yoghurt again or cracker bread and cream cheese. Supper is usually something grilled with a salad. I have also cut down my portions and do not eat just because something is infront of me. I liste to my body more. I do eat cakes and chocolates and everything else that is bad for you, BUT in moderation, ie., a piece or two of chocolate as opposed to the entire slab, a handful of crips instead of the entire packet, and so on. I also pay attention to the time of day when I am indulging. I try to no have too many carbs after 5pm. Believe me when I tell you that I still eat whatever I want. I do not binge eat or crave anything, because I do not derpive myself or cut off anything. Another thing that really helps is cutting down your sugar intake.
So doing all of the above and exercising regularly for 5 months, I am proud to say I have lost 10kgs! I have gone from a size 38 dress size to a size 34. I took a break from duromine for 2 months and didnt put on a single kg, as i continued to gym and eat properly! I am now back on it as I am 5kgs away from my goal weight. This course is only for 3 months and I am now even more motivated and determined. I love duromine and can safely say that if you take it the correct way and eat healthily, It does work, with very minimal to no side effects. DO NOT STARVE yourself! This is when you feel the full force of the side effects, furthermore when you stop taking it, you will gain all the weight you lost once more.
Be responsible with the drug and eat regular meals even if you do not feel hungry. The key is to keep your metabolism up. You should have something light every two hours if possible. WATER is your best friend when on this drug. Its helps flush your kidneys also. Exercise also helps you burn off the drug for the day enabling you to sleep much better.
I have reccomended this drug to numerous ppl who have nothing but good things to say about it.

Thank you so much sharing your positive with us, honestly I would like to say I am revealed after reading this, I have been a bit paranoid lately because this is my first time taking the drug and yes it is working wonders for me and every time i tried search for positive remarked regarding the drug people were just scaring me and i felt like i was doing something wrong yes I do get side effect here and there but its not that extreme as it is for other, this is my second week on the drug and so far i can see there is so much different unlike before I feel lighter and my old clothes fit too.
I don't to get too excited as yet.I will be taking you advise on the alarm setting and morning walks because I leave home early for work.

Firstly, I'd like to commend you on your careful planning and strategy to lose the weight whilst using the duromine,it looks like a very sound way of losing the extra kilos without torturing the stomach,as like you said and I too believe that a lot of people suffer unnecessarily from side affects they could most probably avoid if they 1/took the correct dose for their weight and 2/ate and exercised in a timely fashion,and 3/took the duromine at just the right to for it to work 100 percent effectively,so well done for figuring out the best way,and I'm just wondering how did you eventually go with the total kilos lost,and was it difficult for you to find a doctor to prescribe the duromine ??,I am wanting to get my first script and begin the challenge,and I'm planning to apply your example to the process in order to get the best and healthiest results possible....regards Trace...

I agree with you 100 perc. I started using the pill, i'm on my 10th day but dnt have any side effects as i still eat my breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner but really moderate sizes. The energy I get from the pill I use it to run around my block. I'm happy with the pill.

One thing I have learnt while using duromine is to eat small portions of food and drink a lot fluids throughout the day. This helps reduce the side effects of restlessness. If you want the pill to be effective I recommend at least taking it once a week or once every two weeks. In doing that you are able to lose weight but also be able to maintain the result after you have stopped using the pill. The Mood swings are caused by the overwhelming energey that you get from consuming duromine, exercise will help reduce them.
