I am an 18 year old female. I have been having a lot of health issues the past year.
Recently I have been experiencing severe headaches under the eyebrow, in the temple area, and in spurts all over my head. I also have been having strange neck pain on the sides. Its painful to an extent, and sometiems feels as if the muscles on the sides twitch or pulsate? And it causes dizziness and lightheadedness.
I also have been feeling very weak, and lethargic. I get enough sleep, but still feel as if I dont have enough energy to do anything.
As I said I have had a lot of health issues and been to countless doctors, even for a headache once. I was given a CAT scan and other tests, and it all came back normal. This was probably 4-5 months ago.
Being sick for so long and in the house alot, has also caused me to have panic/anxiety issues. I tend to work myself up over my headaches and aches and pains to such an extent I feel as if I cant breathe sometimes, my heart beats fast, my hands sweat, hard to swallow, etc.
I'm not sure what to do about the pain from the shoulders up. I have taken every over the counter pain relief available and nothing works. I found tylenol with codeine to work but it makes me feel sick and very weird. I have been to so many doctors , the thought of starting this all back up again makes me sick. Please somebody help!!

I realize this has been 2 years since this was written, but I do hope you found a solution. I have been searching for months trying to figure out what is wrong with me. The doctors have run numerous tests and can't give me an answer.
You explained my symptoms to a perfect T. I experience every thing you do. I so hope bumping this up, you, or someone with similar issues can help. I can't live like this any more. I'm desperate. The only thing I've ever been diagnosed with is GERD related chest pain. Prilocet makes my panic attacks 10X worse, and Zantac barely helps. Can GERD cause all this?

... and I've had them since I was a kid. I am 27 now and I just cannot handle feeling this way anymore! So instead of seeing every doc I think MIGHT be able to help, I've been trying things on my own - with my diet.
There is a book "Common Cures for Everything", it suggests a food diary. Eventually you see a pattern with things you eat. At first I used every excuse in the book to not do it anymore as either I didn't want to eat or I didn't have time or was craving something specific and nothing seemed to make sense in foods I ate. With my families help, I've kept at it and I've found that processed meats (hot dogs, jerky, sausage), caffeine, chocolate (not dark though), dairy and a few other weird things I'd never thought about - do give me headaches - or seem to be related.
So maybe, try keeping a food diary and see if some of the stuff you eat has to do with it... I think that since no medication would work for me, I HAD to find something else - having the last headache go on for 8 days pretty much motivated me enough to at least try something new.
Good luck!

What you are experiencing is something called: Anxiety/Panic Disorder. It will heighten your physical symptoms and you might possibly believe you are dying of everything. You will start searching your fears online - which only makes this worse and most likely bring on more panic attacks. Do yourself a huge favor and go see your doctor. They will work with you until you find an anti-depressant that works for you. Each person will re-act to medications differently and that is why it is important to find a drug that works for you. This process can be frustrating, but as soon as you find that drug that works with your body (there is one, trust me) you will start feeling like you again. I also suggest Cognitive Therapy for at least the first month of your drug therapy. This way you can speak to someone who is completely open and just takes time to listen and support what you have to say and feel, which can be very difficult when family and friends are involved. They tend to be biased and make judgments, even though they don't mean to. Good Luck..
