my aunt has severe headache for past 1 month. for many years she had been having it . they were usually relieved with analgesics. but off late , the episodes were severe that she had been prescribed amitryptyline. she seems to be relived. but i feel she s becoming dependent on it. pls comment on this.being an anti-depressants, how does amitryptyline work for headaches ?
