Hello, I am currently 15 and I have a heart condition where my heart rate will peak to fast rates. It comes rather suddenly and feels as if my chest is being squeezed. I feel very lightheaded and it feels as if I cannot get enough oxygen into my lungs. Often times I cannot stand and need to sit down and control my breathing before it stops. My most recent case of this was months ago, but I have noticed that recently the "attacks" have been getting worse; there are cases when it will not slow down as fast as it used to, and more recently I have noticed that I have to sit for longer period of times or even lie down for while. I know that this usually occurs after eating a sugary food and then exercising. I also know that it is an inherited condition running through my family and can be prevented through eating right and exercising. So my question is, do you know the name of this condition is and what are the long-term effects, if any? (why is it getting worse....?)
