I have been with my boyfriend now for nine months, but six months into our relationship, I started getting these wierd looking red bumps around my genital area. The same thing was happening to my boyfriend. So I went to my docter and a few weeks later she told me that I had Genital Herpes. The problem is I don't know how i contracted it. about a month before this happened I had my yearly pap smear and I came up clean of everything including Herpes, but now I have it and I don't know how. The docter tried asking me if my boyfriend had it and gave it to me, but I know that's not the case because we have beening having unprotected sex since our third month and I would have know very early on if he had it. My docter told me that it couldn't have been any of my ex boyfriends either because the outbreak would have happened earlier.
So now I'm so confused as to how I could have possibably gotten this disese. If anyone has any idea as to how else you can contract this I would really like to know. Please help...
