i HAVE BEEN on 60ml a day of the old green death liquid methadone, however all it has become is a fall back to ease my withdrawls as im still shooting up (in my groin now as i have no other veins). I have local drug dealers got there hooks into me and letting me run tabs but im in and out of work the stress of this is incredible and im already dealing with depression and insomnia for which i take mirtazipine. Though my last job i was unable to get my methdaone till 6.30 at night after being up fromm 6 am at work and in and out of terrible weather im from glasgow in scotland.
It was then i realised just how much control methadone had over me and i lost my job as i was unable to cope and my counseler will not take me off daily dispense (in front of chemist) so i would cold turkey bout 2 in afternoon but really would be craving from minute the alarm woke me up.
Anyway I want to go cold turkey this weekend come off clean ive done it in past from smack and was the standard 5 days of hell! what can i expect how long will it last when will it peak etc wht should i expect what can i do to help get me thru. I do have a stable warm home , purchasing drugs are not an option however as its became almost imposibble to by street dfs or other things tht wud help?? please any answers keep it truthfull and dont overdo the horror stories as most junkies do i hav a reasonable idea its jst timescales i obsess over i need a target to aim for

Heroin is worse for you than methadone. I don't understand why so many seem to think methadone is the worst.
If you're still shooting heroin then why bother asking about methadone withdrawal?
Taking mirtazapine and heroin or other narcotics can be dangerous, even fatal. It can cause serotonin syndrome.
Generally, methadone withdrawal begins 24 - 48 hours after your last dose and will last 7 - 10 days (twice as long as shorter acting narcotics such as heroin or oxycodone). Withdrawal will be less intense compared to an equivalent dose of a shorter acting narcotic.
Edit - when I say that heroin is worse, I'm assuming that you're using "street" heroin rather than pure diacetylmorphine (heroin). Pure heroin, in fact, is not known to cause damage to any organ, so it's just as easy on your body as methadone. Much damage from heroin is due to the route of administration (IV injection) and adulteration.
