Hi everyone. First time here. I am writing on behalf of my boyfriend. He is on day 19 of going cold turkey off lortab. I am so proud of him ! But can anyone tell me how long the nausea lasts? He still is very sick with nausea/vomiting, even keeps him up at night. Is there light at the end of the tunnel....is there even an end to the tunnel? Any suggestions out there? Thanks.

Well first of congrats to your boyfriend for being clean for 19 days that is an acomplishment. To answer your question is kind of hard without knowing the exact amount of lortab and how long he was on the drugs... Also it sounds like a very long time to be feeling this way from opiate withdrawal. Usually the vomiting last about 1 week. You need to look into a drug called suboxone. That will make him stop vomiting right away. Just google it and search for doctors in your area who specialize and who can prescribe it. The only down side is insurance does not cover it and the cost is around 150-200 for the visit......Everyone reacts differently to lortab it sounds like he has a bad reaction and it is probably safe to say he won't be using again because of this....... For example I was using a similar drug hydrocodine, and also percecets, and ocycontin at dosages around 50-60mg per day sometimes higher or lower depending on the day. Anyway I had no withdrawal symptoms at all. I'm not trying to rub anything in it's just some people react differently to the drug. I'm like 1 in a million though so don't worry he will be fine. Just make sure you get him that drug i mentioned and do it fast.... good luck

Hello, mike here lortab for 4 years. , did a rapid ween, filled my script then decided 2days later to quit, went from. 4 10s a day to 1.5 one day then 1 the next last one was Saturday before last. Went through , every withdraw symptom , today is day 7 just got my appetite. Back and am taking vitamins helps. The hardest was sleeping now. Slept. All night last night. Need lots of fluids, hot baths and movies god bless all its all a mind game just decide your done like I did. And your done I say days 3-5. Are worst bur have a new lease on life now I'm 43 was prescribed. Lortab 4 years ago for gout arthritis and after the flair ups. Just kept eating the pills clockwork every 3 hours I took a 1/2 a ten. Now I'm sober and have my life back
