I wish you the best of luck... and yes the pathetic POS is likely rotting in hell. No one who has gone through dependency/addiction would wish that on anyone... yes it is hard work, and a mental mindfuck, but everyone deserves support when trying to get clean. Even if you're not successful 1st try, the sun will rise another day (and you may as well since sleep is hard to come by in this journey) I will keep you "guest" in my prayers as I too pray for a strength and willpower, I will even pray for "anonymous" pos because that person is evil and needs peace. Whether it be 6ft under or with tracheotomy to keep it silent

It’s 3/21 & I’m taking an old script that expired in 2017 & working for me. The Orange flavors a little off but groovy otherwise. No withdrawals & that’s what matters.

Have been taking 5 year old subs (4 mg twice daily) the past few days and they work great! Was on 45mg oxys Multiple times a day for two years and decided to kick it. Haven’t felt weird or withdrawals so they must be doing the job! Good luck!

Yes, they should work. The Suboxone label will have a warning telling you not to take past the expiration date but I have done much research on this topic because I have taken expired films countless times. They seemed identical to my non expired ones as far as treating my withdrawals goes, but like many have said, they do seem to taste more gross as time goes by. The only thing I can find while researching this topic is that the true danger in taking expired Suboxone is that it may not be as potent as it was, prior to it's expiration date, and that it "may" not work as well as non expired films/pills do. However, I have talked to many people who have taken subs up to 4yrs past expiration and they worked just fine for them. Personally, I am currently taking my script that expired 6/2020, it's working just fine. (: my dr over prescribes and I pay too much to just throw away the extras! Good luck everyone!

I’m with you my friend in regards to that shithouse reply wishing one of our fellows pain and misery. I truly hope he/ she can remain in recovery but get of your ivory tower and remember shaming does not help anyone.
In regards to your question. Yes they will work and I hope they help you get where you want to be. Addiction sucks. I wish you all the best and send you all the best.

If they’re tablets, then they will certainly lose potency unless stored in lab conditions. Due to the sublingual nature of the medication, it absorbs moisture, even from the air. If you’ve ever noticed the pills are crisp when direct from the pharmacy but can become soft over time. Strips, on the other hand, assuming they’re stored under ordinary conditions and left in their foils, will last a very long time. Even they too will start to degrade eventually.
I personally have taken strips 5 years past their expiry date. If the question is, are they safe? Or, will they still work? I would say yes is the answer to both questions. However, I am not a medical professional, a pharmacist, or a doctor. I’ve been taking suboxone/bupenorphine for 15+ years on and off. Like food, pills and other medications can expire due to freshness long before their potency is effected. If someone is in this situation, I would recommend trying a bit to see if it works for you prior to being in a situation where you have no backup plan.
Some opiates can actually increase in potency over time, I don’t know if bupenorphine behaves the same way. However, I have read Naloxone will degrade over time. Which could reduce its effectiveness. Depending on your use case, that may be irrelevant, or it could be life threatening. If you actually need some Naloxone, I know many places give it out free of charge now. Drug and Alcohol services in my area have it in stock and offer it freely.

I just want to say I hope your clean. I noticed it been years and hope all is well. It's possible. Much easier with God. I very very rarely think about any drugs now and I honestly thought I was gonna die and addict. I should be dead.. perks, oxys, heroin and methodone ,and then meth. I had to limit and could control anything . Good luck hope life is good now.

Best way to use Suboxone is for first week take your full dose but after that I never take more than one 8 mg dose. You just don't need it. It will help you if you want it I been clean for three year and hope to be off Suboxone soon but even if your on it the rest of your life it's better than dying or out there chasing dope everyday. I know some people don't like to hear this but I couldn't have done it without God. I tryed for ten years and couldn't until I let him help me. Now I very rarely even think about drugs. Good luck my friend
