If your test is a standard drug test for employment, they do not test for Methadone, and methadone and suboxone DO NOT show up as opiates, so you are safe. In order to test for Methadone it requires a specific, very expensive test to test for methadone metabolites, and since 9 out of 10 people who take methadone belong to a clinic, which despenses the drug legally, this drug is not on the standard drug test. The only time I would be worried is if you are a caretaker or nurse and they are running a 16 drug pannel test on you for employment. These tests are rare and far from standard. If you are testing for probation or for the state, they also do not test for methadone or suboxone on a routine basis. I would relax and go and take the test and not worry that it is going to show up in your system. As far as how long the drug takes to work its way through your system, its different for everyone, but the standard for methadone is about 2 wks. M-done has such a long half life and takes its sweet time working through your system. I hope this helped you.

IN THE UK they do test fora variety of opiates the standard test is heroin methadone subutex cannabis cocaine and benzos they just cnt differenatiate crack cocaine and powdered cocaine. methadone will only show up in 2 weeks on extremely rare occassions for it to show up in two weeks you would have to have a hell of a lot of in your system in fact ive nevr known it to show up that long apart from a hair test 1 to 7 days is standard average is 3 days

Yeah, I found out the hardway,

I was struggling with opiate addiction after a serious back surgery. I eventually went to Kessler Pain Management and after 1 year my tolerance went way up and I illegally started to use methadone.

Everytime I went back to Kessler, which was on a monthly basis, I would be drug tested. I thought I was in the clear not taking methadone for 12 days and my test came back positive!

My pain management doctor was pissed, he told me after I admitted to using methadone, he said methadone has a half-life of 12 days, but can still be detected in your urine 14 to 16 days later!

I immediately hit bottom, I went to rehab, and I'm proud to say that I was given suboxone. Suboxone completely stopped my incredible urge for opiates and the suboxone actually helped with my chronic back pain.

I take a total of 20 mg's of suboxone per day and I've been on this dosage for almost a year now and I have not once had the need/urge to take a Vicodin, Percocet, Oxycotin, Methadone, etc.... Suboxone saved me

we werent talking about meth... methadone! theress a huge difference! of course probation tests for meth and everyone knows that, but not methadone from what i hear they hafe to have at least a 10 panel you. Ive been on probation for about a year now and have worked myself down to 2 a month but I have noticed filling out my paperwork everytime i take a drugtest for probation that they are only giving me a five panel which i believe would be for meth, thc, opiates, pcp and cocaine, even on a 6 panel i think the only thing extra is benzos. methadone is a completley different test so inless its more than a 9 panel you should be fine.

People ...a pre employment urine test is most often a 10 pnl test and yes methadone is in that panel . u do not need a 16 pnl test to detect the methadone . But if u tell the lab ur on it and u have a valid reason and proof the lab will return a neg. NOT a pos to ur employer. Hope this helps !

you will test positive i messed up a good employment opportunity for listening this dude that is saying that thw companies doesn't test for it. don't do it! The Companies do test for it.

YOUR 1000% ACCURATE

This is BS you shouldn't bother talking unless you know what it is you are indeed talking about! My boyfriend is on probation, takes 100 milligrams of methadone a day, gets tested once a week, and methadone has never come up as positive on a test. They don't test for it, if they did he'd be in jail 100 times by now. His probation officer thinks he's sober.

If you take methadaone and you have a urine test coming up you need to know it would be out of your systemm within 10 days but to be on the safe side give yourself 12 days and drink plenty of water over the course of time and pee a lot. That should help it get out quicker.

If you take some Niacin along with the water, your damn right!! You are correct, it varies for each person how long any drug stays in their system. She must have missed a few days of nursing school!
