I have taken so much crappie past 10 years, both prescribed and not. Dealers were out of my choice but one had 24 5mg methadone tablets on the cheap March 17th, 2017. Took them over next 7 days normally 2 to 3 per day. Once out I stopped everything. April 16th, 2017 I took a 10 panel test for a job. I had read no one tested for methadone so didn't worry until I saw the 10 panel on the order. Go figure I popped positive for methadone. This was close to 3 weeks since last dose of anything. Anyway somehow I convinced the MRO it was caused by the multitude of medications I had valid scripts for which included hydrocodone, oxycodone and antibiotics. Anyway that was a job I took for benefits until a good one came up which it did 5/1/17. Took test today for Concentra, 10 panel 50ng/2000. Before I even went however, I tested myself using the 40.00 Walgreens 11 panel home test 3 times. Passed all 3 this past weekend.
You all need to understand the tests and be ready. Get the at home tests, some are cheap while others not but sure beats losing a job. I am done with the life, I loved my opiates and will miss them but the w**** costs to much. Methadone is an evil woman and you all better give her a very long slumber before testing. I would say no less then 30 days but use at home tests to be sure. 7 days no dice, 14 days maybe if one dose, 21 to be kinda safe but 30 your OK if it was a short 1 time thing. Long term folks I've seen test positive 8 weeks out from last. It's a bad bad woman that methadone.

Methadone is not the same as other opiates...
The standard opiate test you see on the panel tests test for morphine, this will show postive for morphine, heroin, codeine, and maybe oxycodone. It takes a specific panel to test for methadone. A regular opiate panel won't show methadone. Ever.
Synthetic drugs like methadone and oxycontin are designated as opioids, not opiates.
Either way for a panel test or a lab test methadone with show up as methadone, not under opiates.
To test for methadone requires a specific panel on the test. Please don't spread incorrect information.
Methadone isn't lumped under the opiates category on a drug test.. it is a synthetic opioid.
(How do I know? Been on methadone 11+ years, lots of research beyond Google searches & forums with a bunch of misinformation, and my medical experience - I have my CNA and know how to find correct information).
