I wanted to quickly say that i have had the mildest withdrawal of my life so far on suboxone.

for the last yr i was on 16mg a day. 3 months ago i started to taper down all the way to 1mg.

then i jumped, 8 days later i went to my appoinment and my doctor said i cant just jump and told me a load of bs and that even tho i went 8 days with no symptoms, i would soon withdrawal and feel like death. she put me in an inpatient program, shes a phycologist, and put me back up to 16mg a day. for 2 weeks i took 16mg.

on my last visit, i demanded she taper me and she was angry, so she gave me a one week taper, dropping from 16mg to 4mg in a week, then see ya! i was cut off and dismissed.

so i sat back waiting for the withdrawals to b severe.

day 1-5: nothing at first, then slight restless legs around day 4 and 5. but just annoying, not debilitating.

day 6-12: yawning more than usual on day 6,7,8 but it stopped. a little sluggish.nothing painful.

daY 13-30: spent the 13th through the 18th waiting on these SEVERE withdrawals you read about. day 19 i realized that nothing was coming.

today is day 45. I dont know how i dodged the bullet. But, i did. The only things i did that may have helped was the B complex vitamins with tons of B12. and water.

i hope others out there have an easy time stopping the suboxone. i didnt feel normal on it. so i quit it.

one more thing that may have made my withdrawal easy, i quit opiates 5 yrs ago. the only reason i was on suboxone was because i was an alcoholic and went in to detox, the doc decided i needed suboxone cause she was afraid i would go back to pills when i quit drinking. i never heard of a suboxone and never thought they were addictive as they are. so maybey, not having an opiate addiction prior helped?

anyhow, if it was as easy as quiting asprin to me, then there is hope for the next person whos had enough and ready to quit.before quitting i read that there are people who have no issues stopping suboxone, i NEVER expected to be one of them.

Thank you and God bless you. It's the middle of the night and I ache all over. I'm on day 6 of Suboxone withdrawal after using it for 8 months. I needed reminding to trust in The Lord and surrender to his timing in this.

Wow! Thank you so much. This is very inspirational. I am now on day 9 w/o subs after being on them for 3 years. I feel okay but I still feel like I have no energy but I can tell I feel better when I force myself to be active. I need to get through this. Sleeping has sucked with the restlessness but I can deal. I'm half way there. Thank you.

Well coming down slow is the obvious thing to .In my case I had BN on subutex for two in a half yrs 24mgs daily,I got promoted to lead foreman and went out to take a bunch of tests for OSHA .i scored 2nd highest out of the group.Sunday morning I heard a knock on my door telling me I had tested positive for sub.i told them I have a prescription but OSHA wasn't haven it they gave me two weeks to kick it out of me.today is day 13 I feel like death no sleep,no appetite, crazy anxiety and visuals of people I have hurt overseas.im a ex marine I saw things that humans should never have to c its so intense there face u can almost touch them so my sub Dr gave me clonadine, adavan, fennergren. And something for the night terrors.24 mgs to 0 instantly is straight friggin nuts.but I have no option here a95,000 a yr job doesn't come around everyday.i pray everyday to my lord to give me just a little more strength everyday and wow I can barely walk today let alone run a multimillion dollar business if there is any body that has cold turkeyed it please shoot me a message I can't go much longer like this thanks for your time bryan

Sir, I'm 53. Day 3 is about as bad as it gets. The fog in your head is just about having a different feeling compared to that on opiates. It will seem normal after a while. I hope that it already has - I note your post was two weeks ago.
