So 6-7 months ago I had unprotected anal sex with this guy. He said he was clean. Just now I am seeing pink skin tag-like bumps around my anus. I pulled one of them off and it started to bleed. It healed. Now I'm finding smaller bumps growing around my anus. They don't hurt, they're not itchy, and they don't really irritate me(but of course it causes some discomfort because I pulled one off) it's not bleeding. Can someone please tell me what this is?

Hi there

Anal skin tags are not the result of anal intercourse or sexually transmitted diseases. In fact, they are often associated with anal fissures, hemorrhoids and other rectal problems or surgeries.

Anal fissures, or tears, can occur from consistently hard stools. Skin tags may develop around these areas as the body attempts to heal itself. Rectal surgery recovery typically encourages skin tags as the healing skin is swollen. Skin cell rejuvenation may quickly get out of hand, effectively creating anal skin tags.

Hemorrhoids, or swollen anus veins, enlarge the anus area, and may cause skin tags to erupt. They may feel swollen themselves from the blood supply coursing through them. Although anal skin tags are not harmful themselves, you should take their presence as a sign to see a doctor about any associated issues including painful hemorrhoids.

Have a doctor examine your case. Good luck
