i believe i am about 4 weeks pregnant and will find out for sure on march 29 2011, i take a lot of medication and would like to know if i should stop taking it now or wait until i find out for sure. my period is now 5 days late and i am never late and according to all the research i have done on the internet about my late period and when i had unprotected sex it tells me that it most likely that i am pregnant, my symptoms are nausea and mild vomiting starting about two weeks ago which is worse in the morning along with an urgency to urinate with out pain, more tired than usual, and an unusual feeling in my lower abdomen. i take the following medications: geodon, kolonopin, ambien, percocet, nerortin, fexeril, etodalac, and synthroid along with lobid for my cholesterol and tryglicerides which are very high like almost 800. please let me know which medications pose the greatest risk to the fetus and if i should stop taking them asap even before i find out for sure if i am pregnant. thank you for getting back to me as soon as possible. sincerely jody %-) ? ? ?

The best thing you can do is to talk to the doctor or doctors who prescribed you all these medications because the fact is that even though some of them might be harmful for the baby (most of them are in category which is suspected to be harmful) but the condition you have and for which you take these medications might be a big risk for a baby as well so that is why you need a doctor to re-think which of the medications are necessary. And, since your period is late, you can do the home pregnancy test - its reliable now.
