Gallbladder removed 3 days ago and I just wanted to share a bit of a helpful story.

After going to the E.R. and having blood, urine and finally an ultrasound done, they emergency doctor informed me that my gallbladder was infected, inflamed and full of stones and they would need to remove it.  I was a bit scared as walking into the E.R., I didnt expect to be staying and having surgery.

Today is day 3 post op and I actually feel OK, not the greatest mind you, but stopped taking pain meds yesterday morning as they do constipate you.  I have had mild cramping and mild loose bowels, but nothing in comparision to the pain I was in for 5 days prior.  I think what maybe helping me a lot, is that the nurses told me to get out of bed after surgery and kept me moving.  I got up about 2 hours after the surgery for the first time and every time they gave me a pain shot, I would get up to walk for about 15 minutes.  I have also been walking around my house and trying to do light chores, such as dishes and laundry.

I just wanted to post something positive for those who need to see it, rather than all the negatives.  You will get through it and happy healing everyone!
