The first time I flew in an airplane back in 2000 I had terrible ear pain while on the flight. When I landed in France, I was deaf so my mum took me to a doctor over there. He said I had absesses in my ears. After a course of medication they cleared up and I went home with no pain on the flight. But the year after, I flew to Spain and the same thing happened again and I got absesses. After more medication I flew home and on the flight but this time I had a panic attack because I was so scared of what might happen. I went to the doctor when I got back and he said the absesses had returned on the flight home. If I hadn't gone to see him, they could haveburst and I'd be permanently deaf. I haven't flown since and it's getting in the way of my life. I physically cannot 'pop' my ears, and have excruciating pain from just travelling down a hill. I want to get this sorted out, but doctors from around where I live have no idea what's wrong! Help!!
