This summer brought something new to New York. I have the same problem, the feeling of something crawling on my body, something invisible. After a lot of investigation, asking other people with the same problem, I found out that birds have parasites and they transfer it to us, it's scary, this parasites moves under your skin, that's why we can't see them. On my case, birds came everyday to rest on my air conditioned, I removed it immediately. Then I bought Creolin soap and that's the only soap I use. Also bought pure creolin. I mix it with water and pour it from head to toes after taking a bath. Mix a cap of creolin in your laundry, shampoo, spray rug and mattresses. For now all I could say is, it works!, it's been four days since I started the treatment and hardly feel it, just a little bit on my legs. Before I had it on my whole body including inside my ears. Please spread it out, I know how desperate is having this feeling, worst yet, a sickness doctors still don't know as I can see. I hope this help others too.

Parasitosis is the feeling that one is being bitten or is infected by unseen parasites. Skin irritation may be present, or the patient may feel sudden sharp pains that mimic bites. Illusory parasitosis has numerous causes, but tends not to be caused by unseen bugs. Actual parasite infection of the skin by an unseen parasite is usually limited to contraction of scabies.

Delusional parasitosis, on the other hand, is usually caused either by excessive use of hallucinatory or amphetamine based drugs, or by mental illness. In delusional parasitosis, those affected may feel they have bugs crawling on them, pins and needles sensations, or feel like they are being bitten. Usually, this type leaves no marks, though patients may scratch their skin and thus cause irritation.

Illusory parasitosis is difficult to treat because skin irritations may result from a number of causes. The patient may show skin irritation, skin bumps, express the feeling that they are being bit, or feel overall itchiness. They may also express that they feel as if bugs are crawling all over them.

Some main causes may be exposure to known skin irritants like household chemicals, or cosmetics. Often the substances causing illusory parasitosis cause allergies in the patients. Toxic substances in the environment like fiberglass or a polluted air system may also cause the skin to be ruptured. Even the relative dryness of the air or very hot days can result in skin irritation.

I'm having problems with what feels like crawling bugs for the past 3 weeks...

thus far no visible signs, no marks on skin

crawling sensations all over body, some feel like tiny ants crawling in and out of nose ears eyes and anus

others feel more like worms or tiny slugs i also feel bite like sensations or pin pricks all over too

it seems these are different stages in the life cycle of this parasite?

one that crawls like an ant, another that feels like a slug or worm, another that pin pricks or bites ?

the most active time for these sensations happens at night time when I have settled and lying motionless in bed

it seems they are nesting and growing in bedlinen and clothes that I wear too

I have used tea tree oil 15% to rub into areas they seem to be nesting crawling in and out of.. anus.. ears, nose

I have also used talcum powder all over body, this seems to deter them too

if you have or have had the above specific symptoms it would be great to hear...

I have the same thing, they come out at night I saw one jumping around in the bathtub. I just moved into a new home on the golf course, and have had it sprayed now twice by pest control companies and have fogged twice my myself. The pest guy said their Springtails, but I heard they can't bite? And I get bite in the house, I've noticed just one or two in bed in the morning. The house was vacant for just a little while, I clean like crazy, the floors, washing clothes in very hot water vacume everyday, and they come back?? What is it? I went a dr he just gave me some cream and said spray Off....please help : ( I'm staying at my moms just to get away from them. If they're mites how should I get rid of them, I've mopped with diluted bleach and they come back, my dog gets a flea and tick bath every mth and I've washed her bed and toys...

Hi Ihave answers

I have similar symptoms over the past few weeks... although I do not have visable signs or bumps... I'm hoping it is the same kind of bug however so your remedies can work for me too..

The baby powder helps and seems to kill them, also the scrubbing in a circular motion with a toothbrush seems to do it too..

I am looking into getting the sulphur ointment asap I will have to order online..

I'm wondering are you still free of the bugs?

I have the same problem too! I'm sixteen, I'm not on any medication and have a pretty normal lifestyle. Sometimes I'll be sitting at the table and feel like something is tickling my leg hair or my scalp. I've looked all over and there's no signs of anything. I've also done research and it seems like it's only women that get whatever this is.

It's been almost a year I've been to the ER, my doctor and 3 different dermatologist. Although I have been treated for scabies also bottom line they all think I'm crazy. I have spent thousands on cleaning, tea tree, borax, bleach, electric and water. Nothing is working I have used Telstar and Orkin said it's the same thing they use and the have nothing stronger. They took samples I gave them. I use lint rollers to roll the crawling sensation. And you can see little black dots and small tiny fibers. I used scotch tape and put it on a clear plastic page. They are supposed to call me back with the results it's been three days now and have not heard anything. I avoid people, my kids and grand kids. I'm so sad

Could be dust mites, jiggers or you put too much of that medicine it actually makes bumps worst. Ive been seeing and feeling things for years. Buy a pink bottle of calamine. You can find it any drug store for like two bucks. Its pink kinda white liquid, says its for poison oak, trust me. Put it on where ever you feel anything. If there is something there it will surface and you will be relieved to know calamine helps alot. Try it anytime you feel itchy just apply it, if there is anything there it will suck em off and out.

I had similar syptoms. Feels like bugs are crawling on my skin and biting or stinging. Ruled out scabies, bed bugs, morgellons etc.
I had inflamed rashes/bites, probably which were compounded by scratching.

I first started with my primary care physician, who thought I had MRSA and prescribed bactroban topical antiobiotic for me to put up my nose. I used it 5 days and the welts disappeared. Within a week after the treatment, it came back. I tried the same thing again but a 10 day treatment. It came back. Next stop, dermatologist.

Dermatologist diagnosed me with folliculitis and prescribed me Monodox antibiotic and Colloidal Sulfur shampoo (Colloidal Sulfur 5%, Salicylic Acid 3%). After nearly 6 months on the drug I was becoming very photosensitive and feeling ill from the medication. The drug produced results at first, but after several months, hours before my next dose was due, the symptoms would reappear. I decided I had to get off the drug at once. I then went on a cleansing diet and started using High PH water by Alkavision (the notion is a lot of disease thrives in an acidic body and flushing acidic wastes from your body gives pathogens less to feed on). The cleanse, quitting my excessive coffee habit, and the high PH water did have a lot of health benefits and most likely helped my recovery.

After stopping the drug and doing the diet, I continued to wash with the sulfur shampoo (I would wash with normal soap & shampoo, rinse, then apply the sulfur shampoo everywhere hair grows on the body and let it sit for a couple minutes before rinsing).

After over a year of on-and-off suffering with this condition I came to my conclusion- foot fungus.
I routinely get massages and the fungus was being spread from my feet to other parts of my body- then even rubbed into the skin!
I'm still trying to get rid of the foot fungus, but by being careful not to spread it to other parts of my body the crawling and stinging sensations have vanished. I still use the high pH water which probably helps as well (morgellons suffers claim it helps them too)
I put on fresh socks before the masssage and he doesn't touch my feet directly anymore. I also use a fresh washcloth for every shower and wash the feet last (before I would change washcloths maybe a couple times a month)

I think this fungus may be prevalent amongst gay men because I have noticed after coming in contact with certain guys, the sensations come back. I usually wash with the sulfur shampoo after contact, seems to do the trick.

I hope this can be helpful to someone out there.

Do you think you have morgellons? It's basically nanotechnology gone wrong. These things are microscopic organic electronics that are powered by radio waves and electromagnetic currents emitted by appliances and wiriing. The authorities of course deny its existence and say the sufferers are having delusions. It seems someone has discovered a way to kill these things will an electromagnetic pulse.

I have the same issue, no matter where I am, I start itching. I feel like bugs are crawling all over me. Even when I' in my car, at my desk at church or whereever. I thought it was my house at first to i change everything out constantly but it happens when I stay in other places as well. I was thinking it may be some kind of vitamin deficiency or stress.
