I had an abortion 8 months back, but i did not let the doctor clean my placenta i had a medical abortion as i was 4 and a half months pregnant and it hurts so bad and she did not give me any kind of anesthesia or a pain killer at the time of abortion all she did was inserted tablets down there. i had my period for a month and a half after my abortion and then my period was normal as usual till now i have no problem and my periods are regular i am scared that my placenta is not clean till now and i just wanted to ask can i get pregnant again. i am really scared of going back to the doctors

Hi Jumbo,
By now you have had quite a few periods after the abortion. It is highly unlikely that any tissue remains. If it had, there would have been some signs of a problem by now.
It's not "your" placenta, you don't have one unless you are pregnant. It's your uterus.
Remember, every time you have a period the lining is shed. If there were remains they should have been expelled.
