i had my gallbladder out 2 year ago and i still be hurting and they left part of it on my liver and had a drain bag to have anybody went threw the same thing

My brother inlaw has been in the hospital for over a month now. They said they cut his liver duct during the surgery but the bill said they had to fuse the bowel and bile duct. WE don't think this sounds normal, especially since hes been in the hospital for a month now. Please help has anyone had this happen?
