Hello! I have never had any problems with my eyes. Actually, I am rather healthy person and besides occasional colds and throat infections I didn’t have any serious health problems. But, few days ago I started to have a feeling of pressure on the eye. The feeling is strange and it becomes more intense when I bend down to fetch something. My grandfather had glaucoma. Could this unpleasant feeling be the sign of glaucoma?

Hello! If you have a family history of glaucoma it would be good to check your eyes from time to time. Periodic eye examinations will help to prevent and identify any eyesight disorder. You probably don’t know that there are no symptoms which could indicate problems with glaucoma. Glaucoma is connected to increased intraocular pressure but you can’t feel it. If the problems persist you should visit your doctor who will arrange an examination by an ophthalmologist for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
