Any sort of hormone prob can make you gain weight. My doc put me on the pill to help too. It did for 5 tears. I put on about a stone. Im trying very hard at the min to lose it, Its hard. I have cut bread out an only have a small pototo with my evening meal. I eat lots of veg. Its working, but slow.
If you are tied then you may put weight on because your not as active as you should be. Iv found iv been more lively since not eating the bread an pototoes.
Has your doctor tested your thyroids as your tied?

yeah any sort of hormone problem will make you gain weight, I will fully agree, I use to be skinny very active and played sports until my periods started getting obnoxious when I was teenager.

and it's hard to lose weight and I've tried EVERY DIET! carb free, low carb, high protein ect.. But you have to watch yourself on these diets, especially with PCOS patients that are on metformin... WHY? with this low carb high protein diets some of these women have been forming ketoacidosis which can kill you. My best advice for losing weight is take the basic food pyramid and go by it, Use good choices, Grilled before Fried, Fresh before processed prepared foods. I have lost 25 pounds just going by the basic food pyramid and just making smart choices. You must exercise.

What is the procedure you need to undergo in order to get your ovaries removed? Are you left in pain and feeling weak after it? Or can you still be active?
