i have swelling on right side only just above the waist no p

I have swelling on the right side just above my waist. There is no pain. The right side when looking at the mirror has "fat" that is a good handful like a roll of fat above the waist line, but it is only on the right side. The left side of my body at the waist has a small amount of fat, but I am not able to "grab" it as it is less than 1".

Contact dermatitis can cause one side of your waist to swell. Try some hydrocortisone cream to see if the swelling will go away.

Hallo,
I think that you are having problems with your appendix. The place where you are experiencing the swelling is the location of the appendix. The complications with the appendix are not pleasant and they usually end up with surgery. The strange thing is that you are not experiencing any pain. I think the pain will come in few days if your swelling is persistent. I would suggest that you pay your doctor a visit even if your swelling is gone, because appendix is something that can be very complicating. If the appendix burst you will than need a immediate surgery because if this is left untreated it can even by life threatening.

The appendix is in the lower right side of the abdomine, this person says it is near the waist.

Did you ever get an intelligent answer to your query? You clearly state the bulge is located above the waist on the right side only. I have exactly the same thing which is very apparent when I wear fitted knit shirts. There is no scoliosis or irregularity in posture. The hip bones are even. I too am puzzled. If you get a medical answer, please post it. I will discuss it with my primary when I have my annual PE in a couple of months. XD

That pretty much explains my lump its been ex rayed twice by different doctors and they find nothing. What do you think i must do

I have a similar issue where it is obviously extra fat, only on my left side and I do have pain radiating up to that area of my side, from my hip. Two doctors told me it is “just fat,” but I don’t see how or why it is just on my left side. They earlier did a CT scan, which finds nothing. I’m starting to think mine is something the CT scan couldn’t detect and may eventually see if anyone will do an MRI. This is not a lipoma since I have one elsewhere and it is instead generalize swelling out not a solid or palpable lump.

I have same thing . It's on the right side around waistline . Mine started with a stinging kinda like sunburn for 2 weeks then the " swelling " came. I had CT scan , ultra sound and seen a specialist and there's nothing to be found but it's clearly visible. I don't have sharp pain , more like an uncomfortable feeling . I don't know where to go next

I have just recently got this pain. I’m in a lot of pain and it’s pretty swollen and looks a little bruised. It’s really uncomfortable. I am going to the doctor tomorrow and I really hope it’s not to do with my appendix
