I have the same side effect. Try Gly-Oxide. You can find it at drug stores usually. The active ingredient is carbamide peroxide 10% which makes the sores bubble up then you just rinse it with water. Use it 3 or 4 times a day and they will go away. I tried EVERYTHING else and this is the only thing that worked. I hope it helps.

Wow I stumbled on this thread and typcially wouldn't comment but I feel absolutely compelled to help you guys with my unique perspective. Growing up everyone had adderall, the kids that needed it didn't get high from it so they would just give it away because they hated it, I and several other friends would take 2-3 times the amount and have crazy ephoria, anyways long story short.... you start jawling when you take any type of stimulant, cocaine, adderall, X, if you look at the rave seen from the 1990s all the kids are wearing candy pacifiers because they would chip their teeth, dry their month til numbness, and just grind away at their teeth the whole trip.... obviously at a whole different level then you guys expeirence, so they would suck those all night to counter act it. In my perspective.... I do not do illegal drugs for some time now but.... if you are having mouth sores (jawling all day and not realizing it) you are getting a high from the adderall, a stimulant high... it's not helping your mental illness (that being said life can be nuts and having speed used correctely will make you a focus get stuff done super human... especially if you have to much on you plate.) so I understand if you keep taking your adderall just understand you are taking speed.... but long story short adderall is what is doing it FOR SURE!!! Your doctor doesn't understand because he hasn't been an adderall genine pig like me for 10+ years anyways.... hope this helps it's really common, search it with any stimulant drug name (coke, meth, speed) you will find many forums.

I will definitely try some of your remedies but am curious if you found the Concerta to work better for you than the Adderall or did you go back to the Adderall when you did not see any relief from the mouth sores?

I am a 68 year old female taking extended release Adderall. Because of a change of insurance and resulting prescription issues, I was without the medication for over two weeks. I took my first pill since the interval yesterday, and last night my tongue became extremely irritated. For over a year I have had tongue problems similar to those discussed here. I have discussed this with the dental hygienist and my primary care physician. Sometimes the sides of the tongue seem blistered. I have experienced numerous swollen "tastebuds." I have bitten my tongue and the sides of my mouth more frequentlly. My tongue feels as though I have burnt it on something hot even though that has not happened. My tongue has appeared splotched with white. Eating can be painful especially when I eat anything cold or very warm. At times I lose much of my sense of taste. With mixed success I have switched to a mild children's toothpaste, rinsed with hydrogen peroxide, taken a lysine supplement, coated my tongue with honey for temporary relief, and rinsed frequently with warm salt water (ineffective.). It did not occur to me until yesterday when I was thinking that I had not had tongue problems for a while. Then when I brushed my teeth as usual the tip and edges of my tongue were on fire and still feel scalded. It dawned on me that the medication might be involved. Dry mouth was listed as a possible side effect, but nothing was noted regarding the tongue and mouth lining until I searched "sore tongue and adderall" which turned up this site. I do believe that there is definitely a connection between the condition and the medication

When I was a kid, I was made to take Adderall for ADD symptoms, hated it all throughout school, now that I'm 27 I tried it again, and I efffing LOVE IT, it gives me energy, makes me alert, makes me happy, gives me motivation, and focus, and just over all makes me feel great, so I decided to go back to the doctor and get some, and I did, and the first day, I ended up taking like 4 pills throughout the day, was completely **WIRED UP** lol didn't go to sleep for two days, because I loved the feeling of being awake, it was crazy...but I also got these ulcers all over my tongue, but im not bitting my tongue, the adderall is making my mouth and tongue redic dry, and I feel like that has alot to do with it, even though I can't exactly pin point the exact problem, I just have a problem, that when I do adderall, I constantly move my tongue around in my mouth, I wonder if I am rubbing it against my teeth, I just dont know, I even have a small ulcer under my tongue, on the back of my tongue, like where my tongue meets my throat, and there is no way, that part of my tongue has been getting raw moving against a tooth, so Idk... someone please shed some light for me
