I recently had a 5 mm kidney stone surgically removed. Also had a stent placed in at that time. I have been doing some online research and it appears it is most common to have the stent removed in s doctor's office or hospitsal. However, my doctor has instructed me to remove it myself. Is this common? What should I expect?
