One thing that helped me with this condition is magnesium. I take a magnesium supplement that has calcium and zinc in it. I get mine at vitacost. Years ago they refered to magnesium as the :chill pill". Give it a try. I' sure you will be quite pleased with your results

That's interesting that you say "people with small blood vessels" are known to have this problem! I have been thinking this! But thought I was crazy because no one else mentioned it!! When people always draw blood they say my blood vessels are too small. And then when I get anxious they really can't read the beats in my bp and then it goes to the highest reading it won't even read! lol Please can you explain how you found your info?

Hello! I found this thread on Google, hoping to find someone like me. Everyone here was describing it as a problem, however I can simply raise my pressure on will and it's not an anxiety. It's exactly the way you described. There is not much research or articles about it. Please contact me if you read this.

p.s. I'm 25, Katie.

You all phobic should think that in extreme case it will show either high bp or low nt more than that you will not get a heart attack or the machine will not kill u so don't worry....

I haven't been to a dr in a year because of this. Last time I went they were taking my no and I felt a panic attack. I just wanted to rip it off and run. It was 160/120. My readings at home are high until I've take them so many times I get semi comfortable. Anyone else have a technique to get over this? Because it's making my left hell!

Hi All, thank you for sharing your experiences, I have this problem since I was 12 years old, now 45, always freak out when my blood pressure is taken, initially very high but the second time or third drops to a normal range, I hate going to the doctor office just to live this process but in my case I have use this as a positive thing just taken more care of me, good food, some exercise, low fat, low sodium, few alcohol..it doesn't make dessapear the fear of the blood pressure but at least I'm fighting the idea that something bad can happen to me because of the high blood pressure which at the end of the suffering...never had.
