After all, if he really cares about you he will want you to feel comfortable right? Be honest with him, and don't give into pressure from him or his peers.

What do you want him to say about you? Maybe he's being discreet. Do you want the world to know about your relationship. If he starts talking to his friends about you, the discussion could well get into areas you would rather were kept private. Just be a good friend, sharing your hopes and dream, fears and difficulties and support each other. Be proud that he respects you enough to protect your reputation.
