I started smoking in 1969. I've tried on a few occassions to quit, but after about 3 days, I started having wierd nightmares. Usually trying to get away from someone trying to harm me. I'd wake up 2 hours after getting to sleep and then not be able to go back to sleep. After 3 or 4 days of getting 2 to 4 hours a night, I was unable to function at my job. I would hope to hear from someone that has had a similar situation, and was able to get through it. I'm not much of a drinker, and I have to take trazzadone (anti- depression) to sleep even if I am smoking. I tried taking 4 times the dose on the trazzadone but no success. Any ideas?

I hear with people who smoke a lot of marijuana that they get weird nightmares. If you want to quit, A lot of times it's good to try taking sleeping pills first. Don't take something like trazzadone. What you should do is just plain antihistamines, which will make you sleepy and knock you out. Let me know what you think. How are you doing?
