well what ever id**t said its impossible to get your period while your pregnant is wrong. a normal pregnancy is 40 wks. theres approx 4 wks in a month. 40/4=10... most women dont know that they actualy carry for 10 months not 9. For the 1st month of your pregnancy the egg is released from the ovary where it is fertalized in your tube. once fertilized the egg slowly drops from your tube into your uterus where it will float around then find a place to attatch. you will still get your period this month (in most cases some women will skip depending on how far into her cycle she got conceived) the 2nd month the egg digs into your uterus causing pressure and cramping some women will bleed like they got a period but its usualy a little brighter in color and lighter in volume. other women spot from the implantation and some women skip all together. by the 3rd month your baby will have a heartbeat and begin its journey til birth. the body is an amazing thing! when i was pregnant with my son i paid attention to every feeling. i misscarried in sept i was 3 weeks pregnant. the doctors were AMAZED that i could already feel that i was pregnant. they thought i was goofy when i asked for a blood test said it was impossible for me to know yet. test came back positive guess who was right :) sadly we lost it 4 days after we got the pos test :( With my 1st child i knew i was pregnant before i missed my period. idk how something just felt odd my body didnt seem normal. but just let this be an example that YOU know your body better then anyone. pay close attention to everything you feel concentrate it and when your pregnant you will know with out taking a test.

Did you end up being pregnant? I'm in that situation, and I'm having symptoms of being pregnant. (i.e. peeing a lot, head ache, smelling EVERYTHING, and craving foods) please write back.

Highly unlikely, but it is possible to bleed through the 1st trimester and into the second; it will however be different than a regular menstal cycle. My first pregnancy I initially had 2 babies in my uterus, I miscarried a twin and carried the 2nd baby to term; I bled daily from week 9 to week 15, which had the doctors perplexed. My second pregnancy the bleeding resulted in a complete miscarriage at week 8 and a DNC. My 3rd pregnancy had bleeding from week 3 to week 14. So yes, anything is possible considering we had unprotected sex during unfertile times and was pregnant right away each time we did.

So in short, don't bother analyzing the colour of  your period etc, as you may have been pregnant and your period would have shed whatever pregnancy was there. That can, and does happen to many people. It doesn't mean that you can't carry a baby to term or even get pregnant, just life's way of taking care of an unhealthy pregnancy. The goal for everyone is to have a healthy baby so no reason to get upset.

If you are wanting to have a baby, your fertile times are between day 8 and day 19 of your menstral cycle (day 1 being the 1st day of your period). If you don't want to get pregnant and can't use birth control (for some of us the hormones in the birth control creates terrible mood swings and depression), limit intercourse to Days 1-7 (yep even during your bleeding is fine, but a little messy) and day 21 up to your period start.

I'm not a doctor, just experience based advice.

There is a 2 week wait (2WW) between having sex and getting your period. Pregnancy tests only work AFTER implantation (Which is about 5-7 days BEFORE your next period.

If you don't know and don't track your periods, you need to start for many reasons. 1. being that you need to know when it's possible to get pregnant 2. it's your body, only you can track what is happening with it. Sex is something that is meant for responsible people do, if you're not knowledgable about your own body you really shouldn't been having sex. It's not something you can take back and if you're not looking to get pregnant, you DEFINITELY need to know more about yourself. There's nothing shameful about sex; we're women and we're in control of our own bodies. Only you can decide what and when you're willing to have sex - have a positive self image and be open and honeset about what you like and what you don't - that's the only way a healthy sexual relationship will work - Good luck

The SOkay I have a question, I am trying to get pregnant, and for the past week. I have feltlower back pain, nausea, vomiting, tiredness, headache, heartburn. And I had what I thought was my period, but I only bled for a day and half on then I had spotting. Could I be pregnant and have what I thought was my period? I don't know what to think. I am going to the doctor and maybe I will know for sure.
