I've been having light menstrual cramps for a few days now. I know for a fact they are menstrual cramps because I have all my other usual symptoms that go along with it when that time is close. When I feel them, I autimatically know my period will be coming within that week or so. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and he did ejaculate inside me. Is it at all possible that I can get pregnant if I already feel these menstrual cramps and symptoms? A friend told me it is possible because that's what happened to her when she got pregnant. But I just thought I'd ask others for their thoughts, ideas, and hopefully answers.

A woman can only get pregnant one time every month and that is during her ovulation. ovulation only lasts for about 12-24 hours. If you had sex anytime AFTER your previous period up until about 10 days before your next period than you can get pregnant. But, having sex the 10 days before a period usually means your safe. The cramps your friend experienced at this time was probably implantation cramps that happen the week before your period. But if you usually get cramps a week before your period than I wouldn't be too worried. Unless you had unprotected sex days 1-18 of your cycle. Then you could be pregannt.
